I recently came across a site that I want to share with you.
Everyone should have at least a basic knowledge of personal finance, right?
Now there’s an easy, straight-forward way that you can learn more about your personal finances with Pigly.
You can find all sorts of help. Including topics like:
- Saving Money
- Credit Cards
- Mortgages
- Putting Money Back for Your Education
- Loans
- Certificate of Deposits
- Lots More!
Pigly can help you move away from the paycheck-to-paycheck mentality with some great savings calculators.
You simply enter in your savings goal and the calculator will tell you how much you need to put in your savings account each week to reach your goal.
In fact, there are MANY calculators on the site. Some for savings, some for loans, some to help you with credit card management.
And, it’s all FREE.
No High-Tech Jargon Here
Pigly is unique in that it covers the topic of money in a basic, no-nonsense way. You don’t need a degree in finance to be able to use the site to your advantage.
You just click on a subject and you’re directed to lots of easy-to–understand help.
Topics are covered in short paragraphs and the calculators are super-easy to use. It’s nice to be able to enter in a few amounts and get a quick answer. You can change the amounts as many times as you want to see how various scenarios will play out.
I think every high-school student should be required to take a class in personal finance. Topics like checkbook balancing, debit and credit cards, and the importance of having good credit, are such important life skills.
Pigly can certainly serve as your online source for personal finance.
Headed to College Soon?
It’s never too late to plan or to start saving. But, the sooner the better!
Parents (and students) can plug in a few numbers to find out how much they’ll need to save each month to cover the cost gap of college. The gap is the cost of college minus any scholarships or grants you may be receiving.
The cost of college and university tuition, room and board, books, etc., can be a REALLY big number.
Pigly may be able to help you figure out how much you can afford to spend. The online calculators will help!
Credit cards can be a good thing — or they can take you down the path of big-time debt. You have to be careful!
It’s so easy to buy things using a credit card — but it can be tough to make the payments. And, credit card companies want you to only make the minimum payment so they can rake in the interest charged.
It can be daunting. So make sure you know what you’re getting into when you buy items on credit.
There is some great information on the Pigly site that can walk you through the pros and cons of credit cards. Be sure to check it out.
